  • 8. Style.


I would like to begin the introduction of P1705001 by showing the scores it received in this evaluation system, rated on a scale of 1 to 5 points for each factor. Please refer to Table 1 below.

As you can see, most subjects have received good scores like 4 and 5. But among them, there is a lower score to "safe materials", which is 3-points. 

 

The lower score on materials is due to the use of ABS and SAN plastics in the reusable case. These materials are commonly used plastics in cosmetic packaging, and their application here makes sense. But they have faced criticism in recent years for not being sustainable and safe enough. 

 

That is to say, ABS and SAN are still widely accepted in the industry, but we would not consider them the best choice in terms of safety and sustainability. We accept them, but we hope that they will be replaced by better materials in the future. That is the reason we gave a lower score. Back to this refillable package, you could consider it a flaw in the otherwise perfect thing.

 

Among the high-score subjects, let's look deeply into the sustainability performances.

By using refills, it could also reduce plastic waste by at least 38%. This number is based on using a single refill, and it could be significantly higher when using multiple refills. Please see how much plastic waste can be reduced by using 2 or 3 refills, as shown in Table 3.

As you can see from Table 3, by using refill once, plastic waste can be reduced by 38%. Using two refills can reduce waste by 51%, and using three refills can reduce waste by 78%. The more refills that are used, the more plastic waste can be reduced.
